Located in Northfleet, close to Gravesend, Kent. The Astoria Cinema opened on 28th December 1929, replacing an earlier cinemas which was located adjacent, and had closed the previous day. The Astoria Cinema also had a dance hall and café. The cinema building ran parallel to the high Street. It was operated by the Lion Cinematograph Co. Ltd. By 1936 it had been re-named Strathconia Cinema, still owned by Lion. In September 1940 it was re-named Star Cinema, but this was short lived, and it was soon re-named Wardona Cinema.

The Wardona Cinema was closed on 1st December 1957. The Astoria Dance Hall continued until around 1960. The building was then demolished. A petrol station was built on the site.
