The Bijou Nickel Theatre opened September 4, 1905. By the 1920’s it was operating as the Bijou Theatre. It seated 1,050 and was no longer listed in 1936. There is a small park where the theatre once stood.

This opened on September 4th, 1905. Grand opening ad in photo section. Listed as owned by Balaban and Katz Great States theatres in 1935.
A house called the Bijou Nickel Theatre was listed on North Water Street in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory, presumably this theater.
