Theatre de la Toison d'Or

This theatre located in Galerie de la Toison d'Or at number 396, which was built in the early-1970’s and goes from Avenue de la Toison d'Or to Chaussée d'Ixelles. This commercial gallery includes the UGC Toison d'Or multiplex and commercial shops including the fnac. This theatre replaced the former Cinema Clichy and opened in the early-1970’s with 2 screens at number 29 on the Chaussée d'Ixelles. It is now a live theatre.

Before this period at this site was the Cinema Pathe Ixelles, which opened in 1935 as the Cinemonde for a few years and become the ABC which was under the same direction of Arenberg and Stuart. In the early-1950’s it became Pathe Ixelles when it was taken by the Pathe Group who also owned the Marivaux and Pathe Palace untill it’s closing and demolition.
