Victory Cinema

Located in Middleton, Lancashire. Originally built as a Chapel in 1870. In 1908 it was converted into a theatre and was known as the New Central Hall. On 6th January 1910 it was screening films. It was closed during World War I.

Around 1918 it was re-opened as the Picture House. By 1934 it had been equipped with a British Thomson Houston sound system and was part of the H.D. Moorhouse Circuit. By 1937 they had re-named it Victory Cinema.

The Victory Cinema was closed around 1960. It was demolished and a bank was built on the site. In 2015 it is a TSB Bank
