The Elwick Drive-In opened on 27th September 1956 and was operated by Northside Drive-In Theatres Pty. Ltd. It was closed in March 1985 and demolished in 2004. What is on the site now is unknown?

Address is 6 Goodwood Road. 676 cars. Located in the unused centre of the Elwick Racecourse.Tasmania’s first drive-in theatre. The drive-in was demolished in 2004 and the racecourse redevoloped. The Racecourse is also Luxbet Park.
