Old Town Cinema/Regent Picture Theatre/Plaza Cinema

The 360 seat Old Town Cinema in Eastbourne in 1914. It was Neo-Baroque in design and had a tower on the corner of the roof where the junction of the High Street and The Goffs met.

It changed its name to the Regent Picture House in 1921 and the Plaza Cinema in 1933.

It closed on 21st September 1941, and was taken over as a warehouse for the Star Brewery. It was gutted by fire in June 1973 and a supermarket built on the site.
