Located in the southwest Melbourne district of Altona, at the corner of Queen Street and Pier Street. The Pier Theatre was opened in 1938. By 1946 it had been re-named Strand Theatre and was operated by R.J. Kirby. It was closed in 1964.

Opened in 1927 and closed in(circa 1959?). Located on south east corner of Pier Street and Queen Street. Also known as Altona Picture Theatre.

The site is a cake shop(Melissa Cakes), now closed down. Future of building unknown? Unknown if same building converted or if theatre building knocked on and rebuilt for the forrmer cake shop?
