The Bliss Theatre opened in 1939 on S. Lane Street. It was the nicest movie theatre that Blissfield ever had. However, it only stayed open on a regular basis until 1962. After that, it opened occasionally for a while. On November 13, 1986 the Bliss Theatre caught fire and was destroyed.

The Bliss was part of the Schulte Circuit in the early sixties.

Address was 111 South Lane.
Was still a fenced, vacant lot in the July 2014 street view.
