The Bliss Theatre opened in 1939 on South Lane. It was the nicest movie theater that Blissfield ever had. However, it only stayed open on a regular basis until 1962. After that, it opened occasionally for a while. On November 13, 1986 the Bliss caught fire and was destroyed.

The Bliss was part of the Schulte Circuit in the early sixties.
