KD Strelnice

Jindrichuv Hradec is a historic town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, with a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

KD (“Kulturni Dum” [literally “House of Culture”]) Strelnice is the town’s cultural centre. It has two main halls. The cinema has 35mm projection with Dolby stereo sound and DCI digital projection, including a Dolby-3D system. The digital sound format is 7.1; the speakers are certified according to THX requirements. For presentations and private screenings alterative sources of projection, including HDMI inputs, Blu-ray and satellite receiver, are available.

There is also a theatre hall. There is no fixed seating; the principal capacities are 558 for theatre productions and 376 for table layouts. This hall is used for the usual wide range of cultural and social events (plays, concerts, etc.).
