Palace Theatre

Located in Rugeley, Staffordshire. The Palace Theatre was opened prior to 1927 when it was operated as a cinema by Rugeley Theatre Co. Ltd. By 1932 it had been equipped with an AWH sound system and was operated by Coalville Theatres Ltd. aka Charles K. Deeming Circuit, It presented pictures and occasional variety. It had a 24ft wide proscenium, the stage was 24ft deep and there were four dressing rooms. It had closed in November 1934 in favour of the new Picture House/Plaza Cinema on Horsefair which was also operated by the Deeming Circuit.
