West Park Palace

A small suburban cinema with a very grand facade opened 2nd November 1914. It was part of a local chain of cinemas called Hull Picture Playhouses Ltd and the West Park with its seating divided between stalls and circle, led an uneventful life until closure in 1959.

It has gone through a variety of uses since then – a bingo hall, snooker club and large public house but is currently closed and up for sale.

A return to film usage is not on the cards.
