The Theater lebender Photohraphien im Viktoria Theater was opened in 1906 and was operated by Ludwig van Loo. In 1918 it was re-named Victoria Theatre. In 1940 it was re-named Burgwall Theater. In 1941 it was taken over by Menz & Jaeck. The cinema was destroyed by Allied bombs during World War II.

Erich Menz & Heinrich Jaeck also operated the following theatres in Essen: Atrium, Astra, Alhambra, Casino, Filmpalette, Lichtburg, Die Kurbel, Germar Palast, Sueedtheater und Ruhrland Studio. They all have pages on Cinema Treasures.
