The Crescent opened in 1926 as a venue for silent films, musicals and vaudeville, but closed before the 1960s. There were plans to convert the theater into a mixed use senior center and civic center, but these fell through and the building was demolished in 2003. A new senior center was constructed on the site.

Looks like the renovation plans fell through.

This is what I found on this theater:

I can’t find a numbered address. The location that I found for the Crescent theater is 5th St At Florida Ave.
The Film Daily Yearbook, 1941 gives a seating capacity of 550.
Ken….The seat count of 900 is what I found listed for opening day. Its possible that the seating was reduced or the person that counted the seats didn’t attend math class on a regular basis. Does the FDYB list an address?
lostmemory…No addresses given in any of the F.D.Y.B. I have. Seating is still given as 550 in 1943 but it has risen to 600 in the 1950 edition!
Thanks Ken. Lacking a photo of this theater to gauge its size, I would go with the 600 seat count that you found in the FDYB.
Looks like status should be closed/demolished:

Listed in the 1951 Film Daily but not in 1955. The only theater listed for Dade City in 1955 is the Pasco Theater.
Too bad no photos.
