The address for the Oakland Theatre was 6 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.
I remember seeing the re-release of GONE WITH THE WIND in the early 50’s. A Burger King now stands in its place.
I’m looking at an old program from the Oakland Theatre, Warwick, N.Y. T.W. Wisner is listed as the Manager. It features about 6 old movies dating from 1925 to the early 1930’s. The theatre lists matinees as Thurs. at 3:30, Sat. at 3-Eve. Shows at 7:30 & 9 P.M.
This theater opened in 1917. I’m not sure if he owned it since opening day, but T.W. Wisner (Thomas Wisner) was the owner at some point. In 1965 his wife sold the theater to a Thomas Lawrence.
I have just come across a postcard mailed from Warwick NY on July 3, 1943 from the Oakland Theater to a Mr Dennis in Hamburg NJ
Matinees: Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays at 3:00, Evenings 7:15 and 9:00

The Oakland Theatre seated 595 people during the early 1930 and later was reduced to 518 in later listings of the theatre seating listings.
I am interested in purchasing a postcard of the Oakland Theatre. Please advise.
