The Creekside Cinemas opened in December of 1982. Mann Theatres opened the Creekside as an extension of the Cottonwood Mall Cinemas but gave it the name of the Creekside Cinemas since it was located across the street from the Cottonwood Mall in the Creekside Plaza.

The opening attractions were “Honky Tonk Man”, “Trail of the Pink Panther” and “Best Friends”. The largest auditorium seated 350 with rocker back chairs, it featured 70mm capability and Dolby Stereo.

In its opening day add it was listed as the Cottonwood 5-6-7. Carmike acquired the Creekside when they took over the Mann operations in Utah in 1993. They added DTS Digital sound. The Creekside closed in 2000 when Carmike filed for bankruptcy protection. The theatre has since been gutted and turned into four retail spaces.

The last name that this theatre operated under was Carmike 5-6-7 Cinemas. It operated under that name from 1993 to 2000.
