Fire Destroys Former Vista Theater in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO — The Vista Theater, in Kansas City’s Old Northeast neighborhood, was destroyed by fire on May 12, 2011. Several businesses occupied the the 79-year-old building, and it appears to be a total loss. Firefighters have yet to discover the cause of the fire.

The Vista Theater opened in 1932 and closed in 1958. It seated 522.
