You may have noticed that Cinema Treasures was loading very slowly earlier in the week, but this problem has been corrected. In fact, the site is quite speedy now.
Also — we’ve improved the accuracy of the ‘Recent Comments’ panel. So if you make a comment on a theater, the theater’s name will appear in the ‘Recent Comments’ list (until it’s replaced by newer comments).

As you may have noticed, we’ve given our theater news section a complete overhaul, with many improvements and new features (see full list below). But probably the biggest change of all is that we’re counting on your help to make Cinema Treasures THE place for theater preservation news.
Here’s a quick list of some of the new features & improvements in our theater news area.
• Add your theater news (see above)
• Discuss interesting stories with other Cinema Treasures users
• Email articles to friends & co-workers
• Use our printer-friendly layout if you need to print a copy of an article
• Use our news categories to keep track of specific topics
• Search our theater news archives using our search tool (we’ll be posting older stories over the next few weeks)
• Browse our news archives by category or month

We’re proud to announce we’ve given the Cinema Treasures site a massive makeover, with TONS of new features and improvements.
When we launched this site nearly three years ago, we never expected it would grow as quickly as it did. As a result, we’ve experienced some definite growing pains, as the site repeatedly dwarfed our ability to support it.
So, over the past few months, we’ve totally rebuilt Cinema Treasures, applying everything we’ve learned over the past three years. In fact, there are so many changes to discuss that we’ll be highlighting a major new feature every day this week. But for now, here’s a quick list of some of the top changes/improvements.
