So Gus was a Bust! And good no last show, that did not happen much, you can go home early after you call in the numbers,After 11:00 P.M. I will try to remember some of our DUDS!
Did you have an adding machine Mike???WE had the old timey type with the roll of paper on it. Our City Manager would not tear off the paper after using the adding machine and would reroll the paper backwards and use it again, he said it saved the company money.
Same to you Mike, Never had a Palace in Nashville that I know of. There was a Loews Palace in Memphis though. Elvis worked at the Loews State there. He got fired I have heard.
We also could not deposit over $1000.00 at a time for the same reason. If we had a big show we could go to the bank 3 or 4 times a night.Money in the bank bags under my Jacket had to take another employee with me also.
Mike we also did not take any bills over$20.00,this was quite a complaint for some patrons, they did not realize that we had a drop box that all $20.00 bills went in a drop box that only the Managers could get to in case we were robbed.
Nice place.Who cleans it up? The Real spelling of Theatre is Theatre. But it works both ways!!!!Look at the old pictures it is always spelled theatre. But like the masks of old time Theatres one is happy one is sad.Thats show business!
After reading most of the posts on the LOEWS WILLARD it seems most of the comments were about anything else except the theatre, personal attacks and just plain bitching, nothing wrong with getting off-topic now and then, this is a fun site lets try to keep it that way.No wonder there are no new posts on this site if you read through all the bull comments you would loose interest in what you were talking about.
Makes me want to cry.I have about 300 onesheets, could have had a lot more if I had thought to start keeping them earlier than I did.Even our old city Manager who worked for Loews about 30 years would say what does anyone want them for.

Did not know that you were a Disco King Mike. You should have seen my 3-piece Peach colored pined stripped suit. I would not be caught dead it it now.Of course this was the late 70’s, I had a mullet too.WE were pimping!!!
New Marquee is nice, but I like the old one better, but no one asked me.

Nice looking marquee. How many Palace Theatres were there in the U.S.?
Nice looking small theatre.
Would like to see pictures of the MGM-LOEWS Carpet.
Nice looking building, too bad there are no pictures of when it was a LOEWS.
Cool Nick.I have changed a few in my time too.
Looks more like a firestone tire store.
Looks much better now.
Interesting that the Metro and Loews were designed by the same people.

Nice interior photos, I do not know why anyone would call it ugly, looks much better than any new multi-plex I have seen anywhere.
Looks a little better in the 2008 photo than the 1986.
Somebody call an usher Mike Rodgers is sneaking in the back door again!!!!!
Sneaked in the back door huh Mike?
