Opened as the Ohio Theatre on 17th November 1927 with “Tea For Three” starring Lew Cody and Aileen Pringle and vaudeville on stage. The architect Peter M. Hulsken teamed up with fellow architect Lyman T. Strong to design the theatre which was built in just over five months.
Originally operated by the Schine Circuit, it was later taken over by RKO-Stanley Warner which closed it in the fall of 1978 and put it up for sale.
Any further information on this theatre would be appreciated.

Thanks for the current view of this former SCHINE theater in Lima.
A Wurlitzer theater organ opus 1775 style H 3M was installed in the Ohio Theater on 10/29/1927. Status: sold.
The Ohio Theatre in Lima, OH is now for sale for $493,000. Here is a link to the realtor’s website that gives an interesting video tour of the theater in its present incarnation as a nightclub (click on :Home in Motion link):

It looks relatively well preserved, even though some of the paint colors are questionable, but probably suited for a nightclub.
Oh… my….. god. <gasp> <sob>
Warning – video tour of the theater, as it looks today, is not for the weak of heart.
And to think that this used to be a Hulskin. Something tells me, he wouldn’t understand.
I agree to some extent with what shine has said but at least it isn’t a prking lot.
