Located in the Quaker Bridge Mall, this cinema opened around 1980 and closed in the late 1990s after the Hamilton 24 opened nearby. The theater has been coverted to more retail space.

This was an AMC Theatre.
Yes, it was, and probably typical of AMC’s early attempts—4 shoeboxes with tiny screens and blah decor. As I was attending college in Lawrenceville in the late ‘70s and early '80s, I made several trips there. There were nicer theatres in the immediate area, however. Will have to get myself to the Hamilton 24 or another more recent AMC build to see how they’ve progressed over the years.
I loved this theater. I saw a lot of movies here in my youth in the eighties: E.T., Tootsie, Outrageous Fortune, From the Hip, Psycho III, The Terminator, The Color of Money, Dick Tracy, Back to the Future, Fletch, Jaws 3-D, Flesh for Frankenstein. I know there were others. But that is all I can think of off the top of my head.
Spaceport arcade was located directly across the hall too. It also seemed like the vast majority of movies I saw there were in theaters 3 & 4 down the hall to the right. Maybe they were the biggest theaters. I can’t remember. I was so sad to see that this theater is now gone.
I believe I remember seeing Dr. Detroit in one of these theaters around 1988. Is this reasonable since the film was issued in 1983?
Saw lots of movies here including Escape from NY, which we snuck into. Also Purple Rain.
This opened on February 6th, 1977. Grand opening ad posted here.
