Originally opened in 1912 as the Isis Theatre, serving primarily as a live theater venue and opera house, the Isis, located on Main Street at State Avenue, was showing movies within a couple of years. Later renamed the Grove, this theater is now closed. Any further information on the Grove would be appreciated.

A 1987 view of the Grove Theater in Alamosa here, here and here. Visible in the last photo are two hardware stores, a dry cleaners, a J.C. Penney and the Grove all together on the same side of the street…… The good old days.

Here is a circa 1912 picture of the Isis. It doesn’t look anything like the current building.
