This theater closed in 1976. The building was purchased by a religious organization, which operates a thrift store in the lobby. Although the stage remains intact, the seats were removed long ago and the auditorium is used for storage.

The town name, Mojave, is mispelled twice at the top of this page. It should be Mojave in all three instances.

You’re right about that, Joe. I may have typed in the name wrong when I added the theater.

After leaving the US Navy in 1967, I drove the old Route 66 trip from San Francisco to Miami through Needles and stopped in for a movie.
The film title escapes my memory but the revoltingly hot non-air conditioned auditorium has not!
