Planned by Cineplex Odeon, this 8-screen multiplex opened on 3rd May 1991 as the MGM. It was taken over by the Virgin Group in July 1995 and was re-named Virgin. It was taken over by UCG in October 1999 and renamed UGC.

It was re-branded Cineworld in 2005. Seating capacities in the screens range from 357, down to 208.
