This is the building as seen on Google maps. At the time the photo was taken the building did not appear to be in use:

The Ritz was already operating in 1934 and shut down in 1964.

The Ritz was opened as a “negro house” servicing the mixed nationality black residents of Overtown, once known as Coloredtown.

This was owned by Wometco. Their Afro-American theatres did not appear in the Wometco listings.
