The Star Theatre opened in August of 1917. It was taken over by Gibralter Enterprises in October 1948. By 1955 it had been renamed Valley Theatre. The building stood vacant in 2012.

Motion Picture Herald, Oct. 2, 1948: “Gibralter Theatres are taking over the Star, Fowler, Colo., from H. O. Russell October 15. The theater will get an extensive remodeling job."
The name had changed by this note in the May 7, 1955 Motion Picture Herald: “Philip Heil, manager of the Valley, Fowler, Colo., has moved to Golden, Colo., to manage the Golden while Fay Boyd takes a leave of absence for six months because of rheumatic fever.”
And just a month later, in the June 4 issue, “Mitchell Kelloff has bought the Valley, Fowler, Colo., and the Ord, Ordwar (sic), Colo., from Schumour Theatres.”
It amazes me how often the same theater gets sold by the same guy/company more than once.
Variety, Nov. 5, 1958: “Hugh Haynes took over the Valley, Fowler, Colo., from Schumour Corp., and will operate it five days a week.”
The family of Don Dennis, who was reportedly a projectionist at the Valley in the late 1950s, has a huge page of photos and info about the theater.
That page said that Schumour Theaters was a division of Gibralter Entertainment, a confederation consortium of small chains in Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado run mainly by Charles Gilmour M. C. Schulte. Schumour owned the Valley early in the 1950s, and “Mitch Kelloff owned the Valley Theater in the 50’s and into the 60’s.” There are more photos, newspaper ads, and other souvenirs than I have room to describe here.
