Opened on 11th December 1995, the new Apollo 5 Cinema replaced the old Apollo Cinema in the town, which had originally opened as the Odeon. That building continues today as a bingo club.
The Apollo 5 Cinema has 5 air-conditioned screens which are equipped with Dolby DTS and Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Seating capacities in the screens are: 208, 208, 119, 109 and 109.
