Surrey Bioscope

Located on Battersea Park Road, close to Beechmore Road and opposite Battersea Park Street. The Electric Theatre was operating in a converted shop from around March 1909. In September 1909, it underwent a complete renovation and enlargement, possibly taking over the adjacent shop unit. Operated by Popular Bioscope Syndicate Ltd. A new arched facade was built over the entrance and the cinema was given a new name, Surrey Bioscope.

It closed in around 1917 or 1918. The building reverted back to retail use, and in 2009 it is a carpet shop named ‘The Carpet Bureau’.
