Located on York Road on the corner of Wye Street and opposite Yelverton Road in the Battersea district of south London. The York Picture Playhouse opened on 27th October 1910. It was designed by architects Bannau & Roe. There were 72 tip-up seats and 227 fixed seats, with permission for 161 standees.
It was re-named Radium Picture Playhouse from 1914. and by 1927 had been renamed Radium Cinema, Plans were proposed to re-build the cinema in 1931, but this never happened, and the Radium Cinema closed before 1933.
Since demolished, housing is now on the site.
