The Brentford Cinema opened in 1912. It was re-named Electric Cinema around 1917.
By 1926 it had been re-named Coronet Cinema, and was described at the time as being ‘very run-down’. It was closed around 1930, never being equipped to screen ‘talking’ pictures. The building was converted into retail use, which continued through the 1940'’s and into the 1990’s.
