The Apollo Electric Theatre opened in 1909. It programmed a mix of pictures and variety. The proscenium was 21 feet wide, the stage 10 feet deep and there was one dressing room. It was independently operated.
Although it was listed as open in 1940, it closed later that year. Due to its close proximity to the London Docks, it most likely was destroyed by the heavy German bombings that the area suffered during World War II.
