Opened as the Putnam County Opera House in 1875. The Granada Theatre opened in 1930 with seating listed at 705. At one time it was operated by Vanderschmitt Theatres.

The Granada closed in the early-1950’s and was converted to retail space. It was destroyed by fire in 1985, with only the facade surviving.

A recent article indicates that this former theater opened as the Putnam County Opera House in 1875, apparently becoming the Granada in 1927, closing sometime after 1945. In 1985, fire destroyed all but the facade, which still remains. Here is the article: http://www.bannergraphic.com/story/1621742.html
