The Cable Picture Palace a conversion of a Lutherian Chapel on the corner of Cabel Street and Christian Street. It was opened in October 1912. All seating was on a single floor.

The Cable Picture Palace was closed on 5th May 1941, and destroyed by German bombs, when most of this Dockland area was heavily bombarded.
