Opened as the Rex Theatre in 1930. In 1938 after some refurbishing and remodeling it became the Strand Theatre. Seating was listed at 1,464. The Strand Theatre mostly ran first run product. The theatre was operated by Wilby Kincey for Paramount.

The Strand Theatre closed in 1958 and has sisnce been demolished.
