Miracle Theater

Located on the 1200 block of Main Street (one block from the state capitol). The Miracle Theater was a single screen downtown movie theater. It had balcony seating (rocking chairs) and a spacious lobby. Owned and operated by Eastern Federal Corp.

In 1978 it changed to a $1 admission policy in a last ditch effort to compete with mall theaters. The last day of operation was December 31, 1978…I know because I closed it.
