The State Theatre was just east of the Palace Theatre (Camelot Theatre) on the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue. It was operating prior to 1941, and continued to operate until at least 1950. It had a reputation for showing westerns. Later, it was used for live wrestling. Torn down to make way for expansion of Huntington Trust Savings Bank. Former manager Al Cross once told of accepting a chicken as a trade for a ticket during the Great Depression.
