Electric Palace Theatre

Located in Bloxwich, north of Walsall. The Electric Palace Theatre was opened in December 1912 with 400 seats. Designed by the firm of Walsall based architects Hickton & Farmer. It was closed in the spring of 1913 for the addition of a balcony, re-opening on 13th May 1913 with “Quo Vadis”.

In 1918, it was taken over by Pat Collins. The Electric Palace Theatre was closed on 3rd December 1921 with “The Tatters”. It was demolished and Pat Collins new Grosvenor Cinema (later Odeon) was built on the site, again designed by Hickton & Farmer.
