New Regent Cinema

Located in the west Birmingham district of Ladywood. The Ledsam Picture House was opened in 1914. It was a small neighbourhood cinema, which most likely had seating provided all on a single level.

In 1930, it was re-named Regent Cinema and was modernised in 1932, becoming the New Regent Cinema. It was closed in 1958, and has been demolished with most of the entire area redeveloped.
