Located in Ulverston, Cumbria (birthplace of comedian & film star Stan Laurel). The Victoria Concert Hall was opened in 1850. Some films were being screened here by 1909. It had a 25 feet wide proscenium.

Around 1935 or 1936, it was taken over by new owners and re-opened as the Old Vic Cinema. It was equipped with a British Talking Picture(BTP) sound system. Like cinemas in the entire United Kingdom, it was closed at the outbreak of World War II in September 1939. While almost all of them were re-opened within a couple of weeks, the Old Vic Cinema never did. The building still survives in 2015.
