Located in the village of Watlington to the southeast of Oxford. Originally built as a malt house, it was converted into a lecture hall by the Temperance Society in 1859. It was showing films by 1922 and became a full time Cinema soon after. Seating was provided for 248 in stalls and a small balcony.

In 1948 it was re-named Electra Cinema and was closed in 1961. It was then used for danaces & socials but was gutted by a fire. In May 1980 the shell of the building was converted into two squash courts. In 2017 what was originally the entrance to the cinema is in use as The Granery a deli/cafe.
