Located close to the Paris Opera House, the Cine-Opera was opened on 12th October 1917 with Mary Pickford in “Madam Butterfly”. It was closed on 4th July 1924 and became a restaurant.

It had reopened by 1946 as the Radio Citi Opera, later re-named Festival and finally operating as the Gaumont Opera which closed on 14th August 1979 with Gene Wilder in “The Producers”. By 2019 it was in use as a Lancel clothing store.
