Located at the top of the High Street in the Lees district in the east of Oldham. The Pavilion Picture Palace was opened in May 1915. It was a simple wood and corrugated iron structure. Around 1929 it was equipped with an Electrochord sound system, and by 1934 was part of the Ward Cinema Circuit. Later a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system was installed. It was still open in January 1959, still operated by the Ward Cinema Circuit. It had closed by 1963 and has since been demolished
