Vendome Opera

Opening in the 1930’s as a newsreel theatre with the typical design of that kind of place (a narrow auditorium with a balcony but a quite spacious lobby with a bar), this theatre was renovated in the 1950’s and became a first run movie theatre with art movies.

When the multiplex-era started, a renovation and an opera movies program policy was a smart solution for this theatre which was close to the Opera Garnier. But in the 1980’s, this theatre was not profitable enough and closed.
