This might possibly be the Vendome in Paris. Photo courtesy of the Riding Betties Facebook page.

Opening in the 1930’s as a newsreel theatre named Radio Cine-Opera. The design was typical of that kind of place (a narrow auditorium with a balcony but a quite spacious lobby with a bar), this theatre was renovated in the 1950’s and became a first run movie theatre with art movies, re-named Vendome.

When the multiplex-era started, a renovation and an opera movies program policy was a smart solution for this theatre which was close to the Opera Garnier. But in the 1980’s, this theatre was not profitable enough and closed.

I added a photo that might possibly be the Vendome in Paris. It was on a Facebook page with a number of other photos of the era from France.
