Late friday night the theater lost power and many die hards went home with a free pass so that they can come again next time. This is one of many locations that AMC selected to show Avengers 24/7 this weekend as this movie is doing great business. As with most Disney marvel movies these days, the audio mixes have been subpar compared to other studios. Same goes for other Disney movies too.
Looks like endgame is selling like hotcakes especially in regular, dolby, and imax with 3d not selling well. This movie will have legs based on great word of mouth after the world premiere last night in LA.I think I’ll wait a bit until the crowd dies down to see this long movie.
Good luck moviegoers on enduring the 59 hour marvel marathon tomorrow at this location wonder if they’ll show it in dolby cinema with the recliners since it’s 22 movies long.
New logo signage has been at this theater since Cineworld took over Regal back in the fall of last year. AMC needs to step up their a game and put more recliners in their other non premium screens to match up with regal.
This is why I avoid theatres like this…amc is known for issues like this and hopefully they fix stuff once Endgame opens this weekend as this theater shows its age.
Went to see curse of la llorna in the Dolby theater and noticed that scope ratio cropped the preshow so I complained to AMC about it and they let the management know. The left channel was one during preshow but the surround and picture kicked in when the movie started. Movie was jump scary good. I sat near f10. Picture was good and sound was awesome.
Plenty of showtimes for Endgame still available including those that start at 7 AM!!! It’s kinda crazy for a huge movie that will break records at the box office so better get those tickets before they sell out!!!

How is dolby in clifton compared to paramus and rockaway ( i saw two movies there)?

i know the concession stand can be messy at times, but hey, it’s an old theater.

Next month reserved seating will be in all screens soon..
Game of thrones had its season premiere shown on the big screen a week before it’s pay tv debut here.
Had RKO SW kept the theater open, it would’ve been into the hands of Cineplex Odeon, then Loews Cineplex, and finally AMC.

This theater is the closest to where I live that has a THX certified cinema for XD screen. The other theater? Tribeca Screening Room in NYC.
