Opened as the Clifford Theater by May 1916, this 300-seat theater located near the border with Oak Park was renamed the Town Theater on November 22, 1935.

It was closed in March 1952 and was later converted to retail use but later stood vacant. It was demolished in late-2019 or early-2020.

The building is being advertised for sale. It is unrecognizable as a theater as the front of the building has been glassed in.

The Chicago Tribune of November 30, 1935 gives the opening date of the TOWN Theatre as Friday, November 22, 1935.

The CLIFFORD Theatre was already operating in May of 1916 according to a PEG O' THE RING ad.

The Town Theatrer building was demolished in late 2019 or early 2020.
