The Ambassade Cine was opened as a 450-seat single screen cinema in 1948. It was taken over by Georges Heylen in 1962.
In 1980 it was divided into four screens with seating for 54, 60, 73 and 81. Re-named Club 1-2-3-4, it was closed on 27th August 1993. It was demolished and the Gaumont/UGC multiplex was built on an enlarged site.
