Located in Ramsbottom, to the north of Bury, Lancashire, opposite Ramsbottom Railway Station. The Empire Cinema was opened prior to 1934. The proscenium was 26 feet wide, the stage 20 feet deep and there were two dressing rooms. It was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system.
The Empire Cinema was still open in 1954, but had closed by 1966.
