The Transcontinental Theater's Showcase Cinema was a luxurious complex constructed of glass and marble with a winding staircase connecting the two levels of the theater. The downstairs theater was equipped with a 50 by 22 foot screen and 70mm projection. The theatre closed in 1989 and the building is currently leased to a tool retailer.
